RE waiting room...

Does anyone else find that sitting in your RE's waiting room is incredibly awkward? No one looks each other in the eye. So uncomfortable!

    Yes and I always make sure I have my phone and I'm usually bumping while there. One of the most awkward parts for me is leaving after an appointment. I hate walking back through the waiting room. I wish there was a back door I could leave through.

    DX PCOS, HSG Clear, SA Low Morphology

    4/13 - 7/13: Clomid 50mg twice, Clomid 100mg once

    8/13 - 11/13: New RE & Redoing all tests

    12/13: Hopefully start Femera 2.5mg

    Yes it is so awkward, everyone at my RE's office is normally buried in their phone so we don't have to look at each other.

    OMG. I feel the same way. One time I was there and someone left crying. I feel like they should have a separate exit.

      That's totally it. Today I was like trying to convey the "I was getting blood work people!" stare. I don't think it worked. So awkward!

    Seriously! I feel like every one know when you've just come from a meeting with the vagcam! Its like we're all there for the same thing, but its still awkward.

    I always want to talk to them. But it seems like it is awkward for some and I don't want to be the one to ask, "Soooo, what's wrong with you?"

    Sometimes, I even want to just stand up and say, "anyone here on The Bump? Lets be IRL friends, Kai!?"

    My RE also still does some appointments for female issues unrelated to fertility so its always odd when a 60 year old woman walks out because I think "whoa?! Wait. She's here for lady bit stuff."



    Me: 32 DH: 31.
    B/W: good. SA: good.
    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

    BFP 8/16/2013 // EDD 4/28/2014

    Jordan Samuel born April 19, 2014. 6 lb, 12 oz and 18 inches long.

    I usually bury my face in my phone.. I think I might start bringing my tablet.  When I walk out from the appt, I avoid eye contact & march straight out.

    DH and I were just talking about it yesterday. It's the most awkward waiting room ever, you kinda get this off vibe like as if everyone feels ashamed they are there.

    Me: 34 DH:32
    TTC #1 since Dec 2011
    HSG = tubes clear, bicornuate or septate ute; MRI= severe arcuate uterus no septum seen 
    SA #1 low count, low morph;  SA#2 4% Morph, count OK  SA#3 july 2014= NORMAL!!!
    9/2013  IUI#1 w/Clomid 100mg = over response; cycle converted to cryoocyte IVF
    IVF #1: 9/15 ER= 9 mature eggs, all eggs made it thru vitrification
    10/23 ICSI 6 fertilized; 10/28 5dt of two morulas. Hold on to me babies, stick, stick, stick!!
    11/6 BFP EDD 7/14/14 Beta #1= 18; 11/9 Beta #2= 44.8; 11/12 Beta #3= 7 = Early loss @4w6d. No frosties
    Feb 2014 Hysterscopy = no septum seen ute all clear in the inside
     IUI #1.1 4/2/14 Beta on 4/16 BFN
    Thinking about IUI #2  RE advised to try 3?????

    My RE's office has a separate exit. Maybe this is something you could suggest?

    Yeah at first it was.  But now after many months I see a lot of the same people so its not as weird.

    DX: Unexplained
    6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  
    IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 
    Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???
    12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical
    After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  
    2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
    BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28

    Yep. I noticed it too. Much weirder than in a primary doctor's office. At least I don't get looks in my RE's office. I always get stares from the elderly people when I'm in my nephrologists office.
