By day 4 I could get up with just a small discomfort. Day 3 was by far the worst day for me. By day 8 or so I was pretty comfortable and stopped pain meds. I just wrote my birth story today and my LO will be 2 weeks tomorrow.
I want to say around the second week it didn't hurt as much when getting up from a seated position. However, I am still sore getting up after laying in bed a sleep and I am six weeks post csection. I should add that it is not excruciating pain, it is just sore.

With this C/S, I'm a little over a week PP and I feel like my normal self. With my first two C/S it probably took about 3 weeks. I've had a very easy recovery this time.
I stopped my oxycodone by day 7. I was still in some pain, but not enough to take medicine that made me loopy. I am now 2.5 weeks PP and I am not in any pain at all. I'd say by day 9 or 10, I could get up without pain..maybe some mild discomfort, but not really pain.
I am 8 days pp. today was probably the first day that I didn't have much pain...I wore regular jeans for the first time and was uncomfortable but it wasn't that bad.
The only time I really feel uncomfortable is when I lay on my left side at night, right side is fine but left side feels pressure
I felt pretty much back to normal by the end of week one and was off the pain meds a little before that. Now at 3 weeks pp I don't have pain at all and sometimes i completely forget I had a csection just a short time ago
By day 4, I could get up and move about without pain. I'm 9 days pp and yesterday and today I've only taken the motrin for pain. I still have mild cramping/achiness but the incision doesn't hurt.
I was pretty much back to normal on day 4. I stopped the major pain meds on day 5.
Same here. I think maybe it depends on your pain threshold. It hurt to cough or sneeze for a week or so, but otherwise I was off pain meds and feeling semi normal by day 5.
I'm 5 days PP and I still have quiet a bit of pain. I can move around but not for long periods of time and when I shower I need to sit down a couple times still. Getting up from laying down hurts but from sitting is getting much better. I haven't posted my birth story yet as I want to do it from my laptop to post pics and I don't have the time!
Yeah I hope pain fades soon I know 4 days isn't enough to be able to be myself. Did any of you guys have headaches? I seem to be taking more meds for that. Besides that I just hurt and want to recover now.
The pain subsided for me after 2 or 3 days. I still had some random soreness up until about a week PP, but I felt good enough that I attended a wedding 8 days PP.
I am 5 days pp. Just switched from the oxycodone to the extra strength ibuprofen Rx at midday and seem to be tolerating the change well.
I can't stand or walk around for long without the right side of my abs feeling like they're straining, but going between standing and sitting are not issues anymore. I can only sleep on my back yet, and its difficult for me to get to laying down. The stairs are slow going, but I'm able to carry baby up and down them fine.
We haven't shared our story with anyone other than family and the friends who have visited. It's something I'd rather share in person.
I think my experience is going to be different than most. I was walking the first day and only took motrin. From what i hear from friends and family is that it took them at least a week to feel better.
I am 11 days PP and started to feel normal a few days ago. I am only taking 600mg ibuprofen. I have minor discomfort occasionally but I think that some times the pain comes from my tubal. My recovery has taken longer this time then my first.
I'm 15 days PP. Physically, I felt better after about a week. It took 4-5 days for the gas/bloating to go down, and another few days for the edema in my feet to subside. My lower abdomen still hurts if I overdo it, but otherwise I physically feel ok.
Emotionally, I'm doing ok, though it's still up and down. I wasn't planning on a c/s and felt a lot of grief and shame over having it, and I spent a few days in a panic and anxiety-induced shitshow where I cried for hours (literally hours) at a time and couldn't function. Luckily it wore off and I'm doing ok. I'm still down about the state of my body (I have this gross stomach flab that hangs down), but at least I'm not having any more daily crying episodes.
As far as sharing my story, there isn't much to share. At my 40 wk appt, I had a NST and the baby wasn't moving around as much as it should have, I had excess fluid, and they were estimating the baby at 9 lb 11 oz. My OB recommended a c/s and I had two days to deal with it (I was preparing for a natural birth). I showed up at the hospital two days later, had the surgery, and thankfully have a healthy, beautiful baby girl.
I am 7 days PP, and I am mostly taking motrin. I have the prescription meds but I am only taking 1/2 a dose at night, or if we are going to have a busy day. I'm getting up with minimal pain, but sometimes I move the wrong way and it hurts. I actually had a great recovery after this c-section, even the nurses at the hospital were surprised how well I was doing. I haven't decided about sharing my story yet.
