Heat rash

So many questions.  Is it the same as prickly heat?  Will it just go away on its own?  How do I know the difference between heat rash and something else?  Better clothes or no clothes?

She's not irritated by it....its not much more than a cluster of raised bumps.... from her diaperline up, in batches.....

    It is the same as "prickly heat." The page I found said to cool baby down. You can remove clothes or place looser clothing on baby. If it begins to bother her a cool washcloth may help. Poor Sammie! Hope it goes away for her.

    We tried Aquaphor and Desitin. When neither did the trick long term (cleared it only for a day or so) I happened to have 8 month pedi appt while V had the red bumps in clusters that you describe. Pedi said it was yeast based and normal stuff wouldn't clear it. Prescribed him Nystatin creme. We use it for a week 4 times a day. Clears up within a day or two, but need to go full week.
