Another Temp Question

I'm new to temping and I read that usually your temp drops before you get your AF, but I was wondering what other temps do...

When does your temperature usually drop? Before you get your AF or after you already started your AF?

    It drops usually either the day before or the day of my period.

    DD #1 5.4.14  
    EDD #2 5.4.17

    Mine doesn't drop usually until the second day of my period.  And often doesn't drop below my cover line for a few days after my period starts.  Which is making my first month of trying super frustrating, because I'm spotting, but my temp is still up, but it probably means nothing.
