I get it. With my Braxton Hicks lately I keep thinking, "This calm breathing is a lie. It is relieving nothing!" Disclaimer: I didn't take a specific childbirth class like Bradley or anything. and yesterday in the pool I was having BH and thinking, "Will the tub really help?"
I'm with ya. I finally got out of bed at 4:30 this morning because I couldn't sleep due to back/hip pain and Braxton Hicks/belly button? pain. The longer I lay down the more it hurts. Ugh! Good luck!
I feel your pain except I can't even look forward to relief from the epi [cannot have one due to injury/hardware] whomp whomp. [insert sad smiley here]...
I got up at 5 due to numb arms and hands. I cannot sleep on either side and mostly sit up which sucks.
The nights I sleep for more than 2 hours at a time, the numbness is worse. So last night I got some sleep, but my hands are numb and hurt. Can't win!
All of this. I just woke up and my hands are all tingly. Every time I fall asleep on my left side I wake up with serious pain in my left arm. I still have over 4 weeks to go.
The pain is bad chiropractor helps for abit but just gets me a nap. But focontractions are killing me I feel bad cause last night contractions finally were 5 minutes apart for 45 minutes then stopped. Then I cried and DH doesn't understand why so I cried more
Ditto - insomnia kicked in on top of the hip pain all of a sudden this weekend (perfect timing). Hope you get some relief before LO arrives Any chance you can spring for a massage? IMHO, so worth it - and endorsed by my doc too!

Yes! I have an 80 min prenatal massage scheduled on Tuesday. I've been looking forward to it for weeks and this little guy is more than welcome to arrive anytime after Tuesday!
Like pp mentioned... I have been going to the chiro every week, but at this point it's giving me a couple days of relief, tops.
Re: Pain induced insomnia
We just have to keep trucking!
