Now that fireworks are legal in Michigan, I want to stab out the eyeballs of every idiot who lives in my neighborhood.

I'm right there with you!!! DH's stupid dog will bark at them all. night. long. Ugh. They are pretty and I enjoy them...on the 4th and when I'm not paranoid about K waking up!! Otherwise, no.

The neighborhood we moved from was like this. I'm interested to see what the new neighborhood has in store for us this week.

Fireworks are illegal here, but people drive over the river and buy them anyway.

Aside from idiot neighbors, we have idiot legislation in AZ. They legalized fireworks a few years ago. Don't they realize we are one of the driest states and burn down very easily?

Really?!? I thought they were illegal ::surprised face::

That being said, I'm in MO surrounded by rednecks at the moment. I think the neighbors are setting off hand granades. DD is unphased, just as she was during her first REAL thunderstorm. Tucson has 'monsoons' but they're mild.

I've heard a few go off last night and today, but I have idiots in my neighborhood who set them off periodically all year long.

small ones are legal here, but only on the 4th. hope LO does well with them, otherwise its going to be a long night.

What time? It's the after 9 pm ones that get me seeing red.

Eta also, no snark, but why? It's June. It's not a holiday. Why?

we were out until almost 10 tonight. But doing mostly sparklers and flashers and the ones that spark. There were two that made a loud noise but we never purposely choose those because they tend to scare the kids.

H has to work on the 5th at 5 am so we wont be able to stay up super late on the 4th. Its fun for the kids to drag it out for a week or so, do a few every night leading up to it. H likes to do it that way and as the kids are getting older I see the joy in doing it this way too, for us.

Fair enough?
