I know that you can't and shouldn't rely on books to tell you how to parent but, can anyone recommend a good baby book that just gives general guidelines on things like developmental milestones, etc.?
TIA
I've had several [given to me] and my favorite is definitely the focus on the family baby and child care book. Very informational and it covers newborn to kids which I really like.
I have what to expect the first year. It has been helpful. I bought it on Amazon, just make sure you get the current copy.
Ditto. It's nice because its broken down by month with the milestones and relevant topics for each. It's a huge volume for sure, but you can skim over topics that aren't applicable or don't interest you.
Re: Books
I've found this one from the AAP to be helpful with the basics.
