After a 5 month wait, DS will have his OT evaluation (private) for his dx of "lack of coordination." Apparently it's 2 hours long. It's been nearly a year since he aged/tested out of EI so I've almost forgotten everything.
I honestly don't know if he has SPD or not--and I know there has been much discussion about it lately--but at the very least I also hope that the OT helps with his hypersensitivity to noises and some other apparent sensory issues.
Re: OT Eval on Monday
Thanks, MrsZee.
The vestibular dysfunction is a big reason why I was seeking the OT. He has had chronic ottis media and is on his 2nd set of tubes. He cannot alternate feet walking downstairs (though no issues going up) and only jumps/hops poorly. Plus he seems to walk into everything... he doesn't seem to know where his body is.
Good to know your DD is doing well.
