Nurseries and Baby Gear

Recommend your chair!

We're looking into a nice comfortable chair to put in the nursery for feeding times. There are so many out there to choose from with different price ranges. Which did you prefer? Glider? Rocker? Something stationary? Is a normal size chair fine, or would you prefer a chair and a half or a sofa? Gimme your advice! I want it to be comfy since we plan on being in it often.

Re: Recommend your chair!

  • Love my reclining rocker from La-Z-boy. Has foot part that rises up (would get the push button instead of the lever if it can be easily reached ... mine is a lever and can be a challenge with one arm wrapped around a baby.)

  • Little Castle Treasure - rocker, glider and recliner in one.
  • Dutailer is a great brand.  I bought my glider and matching ottoman on craigslist for $120.  Retails for ~$700 new.  Not like I'm going to move a nursery glider in to my living room at any point so not worth buying new to me.
  • Best Chair-Trypp model. I bought a wooden nursing stool for it because I can't imagine the reclining part working while feeding.
  • Lazy boy leather recliner. I have used it for two and going to keep it for 3. The most comfortable chair in my house!
  • I have this one and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.  It's amazingly comfortable and easy to get in and out of with a sleeping baby. :)

I paired it with a handmade poof ottoman.

  • Little castle chair and a half!  We liked the wider chair and could see using it to sit together with LO and/or with her as she gets older and we can really start reading together
