Weekend plans?

What is everyone up to this weekend?

I think we have a 50% chance of thunderstorms and rain all weekend so we are playing it by ear. There is a food festival we want to attend. We might try the amusement park. It tends to be less busy when there is such an iffy forecast.

I don't know what we'll do if we can't be outside. We already saw Monsters University and I'm tired of the same old indoor activities from the long winter.

Friends are in town so we are out all weekend. Today is Museum of Science and Industry, tomorrow the Shedd. Tonight the adults are going out for fun. At some point we will take a walk on the lakefront and maybe dp some shopping. Go up to Navy Pier too, maybe take an architectural tour.

I can't wait to visit Chicago again, Quidditch.

I'm getting my spray tan on today. We're supposed to go to our friends' son's birthday party, although o really don't want to go.

An adult night sounds like so much fun. DH and I are in need of a date night. DD is our sitter and she is OOT for a basketball tournament all weekend. Boo.

Since undo badly need a break, DH is going to take LO for the afternoon to the museum, and I am going to see that Sandra Bullock/Melissa McCarthy movie today. Tomorrow we will go ride our horse. And after she is asleep I hope to watch The Call and have sex.

I have to take the cats to the vet in an hour. Then it's off to a kids' birthday party. I hope tomorrow involves lots of naps for everyone.

The hardwoods are getting put in downstairs this morning. I am currently stuck upstairs with the boys for a while. I am taking DS1 to see Monsters University in an hour to get him out of the house. We might get lunch afterwards to kill more time. Tomorrow we are going to SIL's house to keep her company since BIL is still in Boston for his post surgery rehab.

It's a long weekend here and it's forecast to rain, rain, rain.

DS2 had H, F and M although it's shaping up to be much milder than when DS1 had it.

My mom is coming to babysit tonight so DH and I can go see The Heat!! Can't wait!!

Still unpacking. We are down to the last 6 or 7 boxes, but they are the hardest bc we are out of room. Gonna have to get creative.

Later on, my brother (one of the big reasons I wanted to move back here) is coming over to hang out and we will go to dinner. Probably lots of vegging out and watching tennis for DH. He has been busting his butt for the last two days.

We also have a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms today, but hopefully ot turns out to be nice. We have my girlfriend's son's 1st birthday to attend and its an outdoor party with one of those really fun blow up water slides! The plus is that they live right down the street, so at least we don't have to go far.

I don't think that would help her. She would use it against me later lol. I did thank her sincerely for cooperating last night, which dovetails nicely with the reminder last night that when we fight we are not cooperating, and when we do not cooperate, we cannot solve our problems, and we are a problem solving family. That last part is kind of a motto; I use it a lot. I think I read it in "Raising Your Spirited Child" and liked it.

Bribery and rewards don't really work on DS2. He can talk himself out of wanting anything offered.

A dollar? No thanks, I don't need to buy anything.

Ice cream? I'm not hungry and Auntie will be giving me some tomorrow when I see her.

It's supposed to be really hot this weekend and we only have a window a/c unit in our living room. We had a camp out in the living room last night because everyone was too hot to sleep in our bedrooms.

We're planning on the farmer's market this morning and hiking this afternoon. No idea what we're doing tomorrow but it will probably involve a trip to the mountains or beach to keep cool.

Partay!!!!
Hoping the weather persists to be nice and sunny. My favorite way to spend weekends is low key, playing in the backyard and swimming, drinking and bonfire and music when kiddo goes to bed.
I'll never get bored of this.

Weather is gorgeous here in Nashville. This morning I took DD to a Mommy and Me swimming lesson at the Y, and then used the babysitting service so I could get a run in.

Tonight DH and I are doing date night. And tomorrow we're hoping to check out a new winery, where they'll have tastings and live music in the afternoon. Hoping to get another run in too.
