Witching hour

For those btdt moms... When does LO outgrow the witching hour... It just breaks my heart.

    I dont know the answer to this. But I find that giving gripe water during a 'bad' witching hour makes it a whole lot better.

    Supposedly it peaks at 6 to 8 weeks and then subsides. Good luck to us all.

    We are at 6 weeks 2 days... So that makes sense. We do give gripe water when it's really bad... But I never know if he really needs it. :

    Is he happier after he gets gripe water? My LO sort of deflats like a balloon after letting all his gas out. For the most part, we try and get him to pass the gas on his own. But it seems so much worse during the evening. I dont know if its from a day full of feedings and then gets bottled up in the evening or what. He is such a happy baby after having it when it is gas related.

    That being said, my DH, will try and give it to him when he is watching him and he is fussy because he assumes it is always gas related. When it is not, like he is just over tired or something the gripe water doesnt work. DH tries but im with LO all day so i know what is what.

    He is sometimes happier with the gripe water... I know it's harmless for him, but I'm just someone who doesn't like to give meds in unless needed. I know it's not a med but it feels like it. Wendi usually end up giving LO ant least a quarter tsp when he is really bad.
