FFFC, anyone?

So sad to see this board die, here's an attempt to revive it a bit.

FFFC - anyone got anything good?

I confess that I severely judge the idiots in my hometown who are supporting a dumb local business for discriminating against a gay couple.  The business is a flower shop and the owner was fine serving the floral needs of this couple for years - until it came time for their wedding - then, suddenly, her religious beliefs interfered with her business and she told them "no" due to gay marriage being against her religion and that she would not sell them flowers for their wedding.  I judge her for being a discriminating bigot and I judge everyone who supports her and continues to support her business.

EDITED TO ADD: yea, this probably should have been saved for judgments or something but... I didn't want to wait.

  • I put mine in the UO thread Packer started since it was so slow.

And that's really shitty someone won't support a business just because someone is gay.  Their sexual orientation has little to do with their business practice.

That just pisses me off when people do that. Nothing like discrimination in the name of Jesus huh!

My FFFC is that I feel like DS is favoring DH and it is making me very sad. Every time I pick him up from daycare all he says is "Papa?" and he is beyond thrilled when we get home and he can see "Papa!".  I feel like he is "Papa" centric because DH has been doing most of the baths and diaper and clothes changing recently because my health issues have been pretty bad and it makes it very hard for me to lift/wrestle DS. I do give him lots of hugs, talk to him, and play with him  but it doesn't seem to be enough. If DH and I both pick up DS at daycare he runs to his dad shouting "Papa!!" and completely ignores me. Crying

Oh yes, I've been quite vocal about how sickened I am she did what she did - blows my mind.  I just can't believe.. ugh.  Can't even vent about it anymore.

And sorry your LO is favoring Papa!  DS definitely goes through the phases and it's so hard!  I feel your pain - hopefully he goes through a Mama phase very soon!

Em is in a daddy phase too. She days "daddee" pretty much all the time but I'm the one still doing all the bath, changing, feeding stuff. It bothers me too, but I confess that it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would because I know that I'll be the center of attention soon when DD2 arrives.
  • I am so glad I am not alone with this but it makes me sad for you ladies too! Hopefully, this Daddy obsession phase will pass and they will give us more attention again soon. Lisamonkee, with another coming along it would probably be a relief to have your first LO more Daddy centric right now since you will be a busy gal!

  • Ugh to the lady at the flower shop and to kids who like their dads best.

H bounces back and forth between the two of us pretty frequently.
  • Big A favors DH too and lil A is getting there. I guess I am less fun. Makes me sad. However, when they are sick, tired or scared, they want me. At least that is something, huh.

I can't even go there with the flower shop shiit. People need to arrive in the 21st century already.

    My confession? Got nothing today.
