Genetic Results are in

and it's not good news. I am a carrier for Cystic Fibrosis. Now, DH will have to go in for his genetic testing to make sure he isn't. This was a total blind side call for me. Now, I'm glad I decided to do the testing! I even sent my brother a text because him and his wife might be ttc to let him know that he may be a carrier as well.

When do things start getting better and start making sense in IF world? Oh, never? Figures!

That is tough news to digest. I'm sorry you had to now add to your already full plate. My prayer is that YH is NOT a carrier and that the news you proactively shared with your brother will help him and his wife as well. Please keep us posted. I'm hopeful that you were given time to digest the information, but also a plan of action as you move forward with one step at a time. (The next being your husband's testing.) Praying some extra prayers for you today.

I'm a carrier for CF as well and it was a complete shock. Luckily DH is not a carrier.

ETA: I did some research when I first found out I was a carrier and your odds of being a carrier if you are Caucasian with no family history is about 3%. So the odds that your husband is not a carrier is really in your favor. This made me feel a little better while I waited for DH's results. GL and FX that your husbands screening comes back negative.
