Cloth Diapering

Talk to me about GoodMamma

So, as advised by a friend, I swooped up on the recent Good Mamma grab. I received 2 CD. Can you give me some personal feedback on these?

I wasn't too excited when realized that you would need a cover, for "water proofing". Like I said it was an impulse purchase and I did not do my research first.

  • They are OK fitteds. Good for daytime needs, not very good for night time. I will use mine without a cover to get air to his booty and change once damp. I think the build quality of Goodmama's to have declined in recent years. I also find them too small for my giant son. For cute fitteds I do prefer my Twinkie Tush's.

  • I agree with the pp.  I'm glad I was able to scoop some up from a friend new for fairly cheap because I tried them overnight at 4/5 months and they sucked.  Also, one of mine has it's stitching coming apart (so much for super quality).  They are cute, and super soft, but I really don't reach for them all that often.

This.  I agree they're good for day time.  The cut is much trimmer than some other fitteds, like twinkie tush.  I love my TTs and use them all the time; I don't really reach for my GMs that much anymore because they're too small for DD.

I have purchased a couple of GMs on a sway site for a great price and use them during the day to let me son "air out", but I agree that these aren't as wonderful as I was expecting when I heard all the praises GMs get.  They also seem way small for being one sized.  My son is 7 months and I cannot imagine them fitting for another year (much less to potty training!).  It's a good diaper, but not great IMO.
BTW- I am dying to try some TTs!  I just don't have the funds for them, and they are so hard to find used.

There's a "Fans of Twinkie Tush Cloth Diapers" page on FB with lots of used and new TTs for sale!
  • Well, any fitted is going to require a cover. That's the nature of that kind of diaper.

GMs, honestly, do not impress me. They are cute, but run really small and aren't that absorbent. So, not a good option for DD. Twinkie Tush are far more absorbent and more likely to last until PL-ing.
