Siblings Middle Names Close...wdyt?

My DD's middle name is Jean (which is a family name; mine, my mum's, my grandma's and her mum's).

I'm TTC and like thinking of baby names. I really like the idea of using family names. And I'd like the middle name of the next one if she was a girl to be a family name. DH's grandma's name is Joan.

Do you think these names are too close to be sibling middle names? Like is it too matchy?

I think it's fine. If it's a family name and it means something to you, I don't see anything wrong with it even if they are somewhat similar.

Unless you're calling them by their mn I wouldn't be concerned

Unless you intend to use their middle names all the time, I don't see an issue. You could always use grandmas middle name, depending what it is if you are really concerned.
