I figured something out last night!!!! We've been struggling to keep LO in his crib at night. We put him in his crib fast asleep and I'll make it back to my room, take my hair down, glasses off, get all snuggled up to my hubby and then LO will start wimpering, gunting, and wiggling. I usually goback to his roomand puthim back to sleep because it's easier to put him back to sleep when he's drowsy and figured the grunting and wiggling w as just a precursor to the crying I was sure would follow!
Last night, I watched his process instead of going back to bed and figured out that his grunting and wiggling is him just trying to figure out his surroundings without waking up!!! I let him stay in his crib last night and go through his process... it takes a long time... a half hour or more of noise! But he never cried and stayed in his crib the whole night except for feedings!!!!
I'm hoping this is one more step toward longer sleep stretches!!!!!

Yup same here. And I've gotten more used to not hearing it. lol. DH said he was awake half the night because LO was so noisy. lol. Payback for him sleeping thru night feedings. lol

Last night while I watched no, his eyes weren't open. There were times, when I couldn't see him however, that he was cooing and making noises like he was awake... it was kinda like he was singing himself to sleep.
Adorable, hopefully that lasts
