What are your thoughts? Evan will be 3 when this LO gets here and we were thinking about a sit n stand one that can also hold an infant seat. Any recommendations?
I bought a joovy sit n stand off craigslist. It's been nice to have because Nate walks soooo slowly and I can keep better track of him in public. We don't get a ton of use out of it because we don't go to places I'd need a stroller a lot, but that's why I bought it on craigslist. I liked this brand because it had a universal infant seat holder.
I think it depends on your toddler. DS strongly prefers walking to riding, so we haven't used our stroller in months. If we do end up having a second baby, I will either keep my single and tune it up a bit or buy an upgraded single on CL. I can't see us getting much use out of the double.
We have the joovy ultralight. Love the stroller, decent maneuverability, super lightweight in doubles land, A enjoys the freedom to walk or either sit/stand to ride and I can buckle him if he's being ornery. It has the infant carseat attachment but we bought it after we moved J to his convertible so we didn't use it. Also has a pretty large sunshade which is nice when the baby takes naps in the stroller.
We don't use it every day but if we ewe go to the park, zoo or science museum it comes along and if I could ever figure out how to go shopping with two kids for things besides groceries I'd bring it then too lol. We do still heavily use our single stroller though too and A just walks and helps "push".
I'm skipping the double stroller. If anything I would get a sit n stand with the options for the 2 seats or infant carrier and a seat. But I feel like is barely use it.
My plan is to either wear 2 while hazel rides or hazel can walk while 2 is in the stroller. I might get a collapsible wagon for next summer, but they're really expensive so I haven't decided if it's really necessary.
we have a double bob that we use a lot, since we live in an urban area and we walk most places. i take it to the market, jog, park etc.
its too big to take into dr. offices. so for situations like that i have been taking an umbrella stroller for O and wearing D. HOWEVER, it is now to the point where, if the appointment is long...i would really like to be able to strap them both in. for example, yesterday O had a long appointment, and D did NOT want to stay in the carrier. he wanted to walk around the office, and was getting into the trash etc. i would have liked to have been able to strap him into the umbrella stroller with a snack or toy or whatever. hes too small to just swap them out, without adjusting the straps...and there just wasnt time for that. so i was wishing we had a small double umbrella. hope that makes sense.

Adding to my original answer, what usually ends up happening is Nate walks beside the stroller, I wear Caleb in a sling, and push an empty stroller.
