TP recovery

I'm having a very tough recovery from my emergency Csection. I had a lot of bleeding under the skin. It is horribly bruised, and it has been leaking blood from the incision for a few days. I saw my OB's office about the bleeding earlier this week, and I was told it was draining. The bleeding increased some this morning. I just went to the ER because it scared me. I'm sure it wasn't as much blood as it seemed, you know how a little blood looks like a lot. They sent me home and said it's all the blood breaking down from inside of me and coming out my incision. None if this seems normal to me, and it's just a very scary time. Thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

    I'm sorry that's happening to you. That must be very scary and a horrible timing because you just want to be with your LO. I've been to the ER twice since being released from the hospital and it is horrible. You just want to feel normal. T and P that it gets better and everything is okay.

    Wow!  I'm sorry you are dealing with a tough recovery. I'm not sure whether that is normal, or not, because I think the various ways in which your incision can be closed can have an effect on how it heals. I was stitched and haven't had draining, though I did have a couple small areas bleed that my pad accidentally irritated.  It may be different if you were stapled or glued.  Hope it gets better for you quickly!

    I was stitched too. They missed a bleeder or something which led to all the blood accumulation under the skin. All the medical professionals who look at it tell me they've never seen anything like it and don't know why it happened, which is not comforting. I just though at 10 days post section I'd be feeling better. Instead I'm leaking blood and terrified.
