Nervous about the Party

So I dont celebrate birthdays. Never have. But I really wanted to do a celebration for Emery turning one. Kind of like a mild birthday. It was just supposed to be a BBQ with family.

Well MH is a "the more the merrier" kind of person and started inviting all these random friends of his that we never see but have kids. Now my sister called and asked if she could invite her friend with 3 kids.

Now I'm starting to freak the eff out. First of all my house is small. Secondly its supposed to 93 on Sunday and we have no AC. Plenty of fans but no AC. Third I have never held a party!

Someone talk me off a ledge! How do I entertain these kids??

I actually just bought a bubble machine! So that should be fun.

My sister suggested a pinata, but I dont have a tree to hang it from.

Is pin the tail on the donkey too lame?

There will be a good mix of 1-4yo's.

I have a water table and a kid pool. I guess this is changing the direction of the party but oh well!

I'm sure it will all be fine! As far as the kids go, if there will be a handful of them, let them play tag and other things outside. I like the ideas of PP's for sidewalk chalk and bubbles. Even older kids can have fun with those, or at least in my family, the older kids would be entertained and entertain the younger ones.
Dont sweat it, I figure, if people are really bored or hot or whatever, they can always leave. You'd be surprised how people will enjoy themselves (kids included) without having to be entertained.

So ours is outside too. I rented a 10x10 tent and am putting a big blanket under it and have swen huge pillows to have a soft safe place for the young kids. Most kids are with in a coupl months of E so not to many running and playing yet. We also have the Zany Zoo play cube and I'll have that out there.
