We are going to France in a week and I'm looking for suggestions on easy to pack toys/books that will keep LO's entertained! DS is 19 months and DD is 3. Any suggestions??? We will bring Ipads with kids movies - and that will keep DD entertained for a bit but DS could care less about TV or the Ipad! Thanks! :)

    Playdoh, coloring, look down the art supply aisle. Maybe a non messy project you could do with him

    My DS loves the travel magna-doodle. I got one at Target for under $5. That will keep him entertained for an hour or so in the car. He also loves to doodle. I give him colored pencils and a steno pad instead of crayons. For some reason he doesn't try to eat the colored pencils. Every time I give him crayons, I have to brush wax off his tiny teeth.

    I second the magna doodle. LO loves books, so we take quite a few of those, and I tend to buy a new one prior. If they have their own seats, they may fall asleep...

    TBH, we brought a lot of the toys that other pps mentioned when we took our 3.5 and 1.5 y/o to Asia back in Feb.  But, what really kept them entertained was the tvs they have on the back of the seats.  DD was so amazed by it and would watch the same movies over and over.  DS was the same way for one particular show but like every 17 month old he also spent a lot of time doing laps around the plane.
