July 2012 Moms

diet changes

I have been weaning DD to cow's milk during the day and I breastfeed late afternoon, before bed time, and in the morning.  She is going to DC part time this week and next.  She has lunch and her nap there. She will be going full time starting July 8th, when I return to work.

After her second day at DC, she started pooping like a new born.  Like 8 times a day.  She usually just poops once a day.  She is otherwise healthy - no fever or anything. Her poop looks okay not like diarrhea but it's just out of the ordinary for her to poop so much.  So I figure something she ate is upsetting her tummy.

How do I know if the transition to WCM or the different food at DC is bothering her.  Do you think it would be better to wean her to formula first as it might be more digestible?  She did start having milk before going to DC, but as the amount is increasing, maybe it's just starting to bother her now?

Anyway, the DC owner posts the meals that they have so I am going to look closely and see if some food is a potential problem.

Sounds like she's just getting used to the wcm. Frankies poop was a little off for about a week after we started him on it. We did it very gradually and he still had off poops. But he's all normal now.

  • It's prob just the milk. My guys poop was a little looser when we started the transition. I wouldn't start formula this close to your LO turning one, especially since your still nursing a bit. Good luck!
