Success after IF

I love my community!!

Maybe it's just where I live but I swear we have so many free programs for babies! It's awesome. Today is my last day of a Baby Talk class; babies 0-6 months and their mom's get together to discuss parenting things with the latest research. I signed up for our libraries Babies and Books class, I signed up for a Love Your Baby class; it's designed to enhance attachment between baby and mom. And I just signed Hannah up for swim lessons, that one I had to pay for.

What are you ladies signing your babies up for? Free or not free?

Re: I love my community!!

  • I joined a new moms group that meets once a week for 8 weeks (paid for this).  It's perfect for the summer bc I'm a teacher and have the time off.  We are also going to do a Babies and Books class at the library (free).  They both start next week.

I'm jealous! So far I have found nothing as far as mother baby groups go. The hospital I delivered at has bf support group every other week for free. I went once. It was not as helpful as I was expecting and several women there knew each other from work and felt really out of place.

There is a baby massage program at the hospital that I'll sign up for. I have to wait until she is 6 months and I think it's 20 for 6 classes.

  • I want to sign the boys up for swimming safety class, which they can do at 6 months. I would also love to find a baby boot camp near me that's exercising with baby in a stroller, not sending baby to boot camp LOL.

I have been looking for one as well!  I recently checked meetup.com and searched mom groups nearby my house and several came up, so I am hoping to check them out.  My fear is that those mamas already know each other, so it might be hard to fit in....

    Thanks for the tip!

It's so hard walking into a group where you are the only newbie! It's like high school all over! Lol!

  • We are doing the babies and books  classes at the library, an early childhood education class thru the school district, and swimming lessons at the community center. I am looking for a "my gym" or music class for fall.

  • You are very lucky. We have library things that are free and a bookstore that hosts reading groups but other than that you have to pay. I have DS in music, swimming, and tumbling. So fun!!
