This week's GTKY is all about birthdays! Do you celebrate birthdays? What did you or are you going to do for your LOs first birthday?

Here is E reading a book in her chair. It's not as fancy as Adalyn's new chair last week, but it's mine from when I was little. I'm going to get it recovered as soon as I can pick a fabric.

GTKY: I think we are going to do a book themed party. The invites will be library cards, the cake will look like stacked books, the favors will be little books, the food will be book themes like green eggs and ham /avocado deviled eggs and prosciutto??/ etc. We are going to do close family and friends. And my BFF from hs is going I come do smash cake and family pics the day before. I'm so excited, but also so in shock that my little girl is about to be one!

Here she is this morning on her 1st birthday! Holy crap where did the last year go. I am in awe everyday of this beautiful, sweet, funny girl who is becoming this amazing little person.

Today I am picking her up early from day care and taking her to the park for the afternoon so we can spend some time alone together. Party with family on Sunday but nothing too big so we don't overwhelm her.

Sorry it's fuzzy, but we have found Bubble Guppies! He will watch one episode before he gets bored.

I have been looking at themes for birthday parties lately since my niece is turning one next month and I've been all about hers. I'm leaning towards monsters or sock monkey but we'll see, I still have a while.

All the babies are so cute! Happy birthday to little Sue and congrats on the baptism, Sophie!

Here is my baby Haley! She is 25th percentile on weight and height, but 75% for head, so she is our little miss bubble head LOL.

She will definately have a BD party, but it's still many months away, so I have no clue on a theme. I am sure I will be checking out the Birthday Parties board once it gets closer!

Cute pictures ladies!!!

My Mom, G and I spent last week at the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. So much fun. G loves the water and got right into the Virgin River after one of our hikes in Zion. And of course he brought his stick. He always has a stick Stick out tongue

GTKY: We are doing a first birthday party at our house on July 27th. Our pool and landscaping should be done a few weeks before so we decided to do a pirate pool party. We're not going too crazy, but it should be fun. It's a birthday/housewarming/swim in the pool combo Smile

Look at how cute he is! Is he walking? This just made me realize how woefully behind we are in letting E play in the dirt. We are going to the river this weekend though so hopefully she will get thoroughly dirty and have a blast.

I guess DS isn't so much of a baby anymore! We are celebrating his second birthday right around the corner. We are having a Monsters Inc/ Monsters University party for him and a BBQ in our backyard. We actually took him to his first movie in the theater. It was a semi disaster since he couldn't sit still through the last half of it but fun nonetheless!

GTKY: We will do epic parties for Hannah. I haven't thought of a theme yet, too early, don't want to think about her turning one! I just know with her birthday being in the winter we will have indoor parties. I hope to have princess parties, Michael's parties. All the girly parties!

I definitely pulled the whole take a picture of a picture thing with my phone so I know it's hard to really even make out anything, but I just can't wait to kiss all of those little baby fingers and toes (but I don't mind waiting until November or December of course

GTKY: We always celebrate birthdays with big parties! For my daughter's third birthday I think we're going to have the party somewhere other than our house for the first time so I don't have a million kids running around like wild animals in our home I'm sure we'll do a 2nd birthday party at our home for my son, but then venture out for his 3rd birthday as well.

Everyone has such cute babies!!!

Here's Adalyn waiting at the Passport office. She's not a big fan of waiting. Love my little sassy pants! Smile

GTKY: We actually celebrate Adalyn's birthday and UN-birthday, as many moms of preemies do! Her birthday is 2/4, but her UnBirthday (the day she was originally due) is 5/10. This year, since my mom was out of town for Adalyn's actual birthday, we just did a little get together with my immediate family at their house, had dinner, and ate cupcakes (with party hats, of course). Since the weather is nicer in May, we had a BBQ where we had peanut butter burgers (delicious!) and had a bunch of people over (about 15). The theme was Generic Birthday! It was so festive and full of colors--I loved it! We also did cupcakes. Smile

It is something we discovered on a trip to New Orleans. Basically, it's a burger and you put peanut butter on top along with the cheese right before you're done grilling. Then, you put some bacon and all regular burger trimmings (ketchup, mustard, etc). It is SOOOOOOO amazing! You've got to try it, and it is so easy! Smile
