All the contraction produced...

...was a crop dusting.  My BH are definitely getting stronger today but I know my labor is still far off.  Not that I'll need those contractions anyway, I'm fairly certain LO is planning on karate chopping his way out.

Who else is having more intense BH?  Anyone else feeling stuck in VERY early labor?

Re: All the contraction produced...

  • I'm only 35 weeks 5 days but my bh have been getting much more intense! I was getting a pretty good pain going across the top of my belly yesterday everytime I got one! I'm hoping it means I will eventually go into labor on my own, otherwise I have to get induced at 39 weeks for medical reasons.

  • Right now, I'm the opposite. I'm only 35w2d, but I'm not getting any BH at all. I guess not everyone does but it's making me wonder a little.

Sorry you're going through this. Hope you can make some progress soon.

That makes me think of farts but I don't think that's what you meant. Or is it? Lol

I completely relate to feeling stuck in prodromal labor as my OB calls it. I've made an active effort to not get my hopes up that each day is The Day anymore and just roll with it. And believe me, it does take effort.

  • YES! I have been getting BH since March, and the last 3 weeks they have been getting much more intense. Yesterday they were coupled with full on cramping, which made me think that maybe they were the real deal and not the same BH I'm used to. I'm 35 weeks 4 days, so the doc said lay down and drink tons of water. They went away after that.

  • With DD I had nothing in fact doc told me I was in labor!! With DS and this boy also, I have been having BH's like crazy and I am over it. Every time I get them I down a bottle of water and lay on my side to try to stop them. But I got all clear from doc today that even though I am 36 weeks so, I am ready.

  • I've been getting more cramps in my lower ab especially around 9pm. Nothing too consistent but they do hurt. They go away once I'm in bed and go to sleep.

This. Mine always start building up in the evening. Last night, I got my hospital bags out and ready because I was sure I would wake up with intense contractions but low and behold I was able to sleep.

  • YES! I have been on P17 shots since 18 weeks to prevent PTL and have been getting contractions since 26 ish weeks, which only started to change my cervix recently thankfully!. I took my last shot 9 days ago and I feel like I am stuck in early labor h3ll. Consistent contractions for hours with tons of pressure the last three days...I am just 37 weeks today...idk how much longer I can do this without losing my mind.

  • At 36w1d I've been getting really intense crampy contractions a few times a day, usually just one at a time. I was even awakened by a particularly bad one last night. These aren't anything like the belly tightening BH I had been getting. I was checked yesterday after having them for about a week and was surprised to find out that I am 1cm dilated and 70 effaced so I guess they are working!
  • About 3 days ago I started have a lot of mild/disorganized contractions. I'm at a 3 and 70 effaced, so I'm assuming they're working. I'm 37w on Sunday and I keep telling LO to just hang on til then!

Ugh, I've been getting real contractions for over two weeks now. The past couple days they've been 2 minutes apart and pretty uncomfortable but since I can walk and talk through them it's not the real deal yet. So frustrated with prodromal labor!!!
  • Im 38 weeks. I have not felt a single BH. My cervix is high, hard, closed and posterior. Hoping it happens all at once for me!

I just started having a crampy feeling last week. They happen off and on throughout the day. At least something is happening! I'm on mobile but we have the same due date right? 7.11?

    Yep! Same due date!

Glad to hear I'm not alone with these. I have no clue what a contraction is. I assume it feels like an intense period cramp. So I guess when they become regular and timetable and more painful it'll be time to get checked out. I haven't had any cervical checks so I have no clue if they are doing anything.
  • I'm right there with you on the feeling stuck.  I know it will happen when it's supposed to happen, it's just getting harder and harder to wait.
