Is this bad? (update too)

So I continued with the penis cream and its gotten slightly better but G still sobs and fights.  He complains his penis hurts but I'm not sure if it actually hurts or if hes just saying it hurts and it really doesn't.  The rim around his penis is a bit purple/red but I can't remember if it was like that before.  Poor guy.

Anyway, my question is, is it bad if I get the steroid cream all over his penis as opposed to just the small adhesion?  I seriously cannot just put a dab on the adhesion.  I basically have a millisecond to pull his penis back (he has a buried penis) and blob on the cream.  DH says I'm going to shrink G's penis or something.  Maybe I should call the nurses line?

    I don't think it will do anything, but I'd call the nurses line just to be sure. GL!

    I don't think it's the end of the world.  It's probably not a really strong steroid cream. And,it's not like you're rubbing extra on.  you're just putting the regular amount and it's getting everywhere.  You might as well call but I really wouldn't be that worried as long as you're getting some where the adhesion is.

    I totally agree. 

     

    Lol I know but Griff doesn't let DH do anything.  If DH tries, G freaks out.  Its always "mama do this," "mama only," "mama do."  Oh well.

    I'm so sorry you guys are dealing with this. I don't think it's a big deal if the cream gets on a larger area than it needs to.

    Is he still wearing diapers? Maybe try putting the cream on the diaper, so it lines up with the infected area, as opposed to putting the cream directly on him. You could probably prep the diaper without G being aware of it & then slap the diaper on him before he realizes anything....maybe?

    Thats a good idea, bosha, but G has a buried penis so the cream probably wouldn't hit the adhesion, I would think.  Thanks for the suggestion though!

    Ah! I have the opposite.  It's, "No, Mama, No! Where is Daddy?" :)  Did you get in touch with your doctor?

    I don't think it sounds like a big deal either but like PP said you could always call about it.

    Also, I giggled that your DH was concerned you were shrinking his penis. Leave it to a man to think of that!
