Convertible Car Seat Height Limit?? How tall is your LO?

BIL said he would buy LO a convertible car seat for his first birthday.  I'm looking into options and would like some advice.  LO is currently in the Chicco Keyfit 30.  I just looked online and the height limit for this seat is 30".  LO is 31.5" and weighs 18.8 lbs.  I would like for him to be rear facing until 2 years old.  I'm finding that for some car seats he's right at or above the rear facing height limit.  What car seats do you recommend with a larger height limit?  How tall is your child?  TIA

    Hmm, that doesn't seem right. The Britax Marathon 70-G3 has a height limit of 49" for forward and rear facing. He should not be too tall to rear face in a convertible.

    Are you sure you aren't confusing height with seated height?  Convertible car seats last longer rear facing than infant carriers.

    Get your kid into an appropriate sized car seat NOW. 

    Yikes!  Sounds like he's outgrown his current seat!!  Will your BIL purchase his seat early so you can get him in it ASAP?

    Thanks for your input.  Maybe I was reading it wrong.  I'll go back and check.  And yes, I'll be getting him into a new seat asap.
