I took a home pregnancy test first response and it gave my a positive, although the line was pink and not red like the other line. But when I went to the doctor to get a blood test, it was negative. I was wondering why the home test was positive? I appreciate any explanation.
Re: In doubt
It could be that the line was supposed to be red.
It could be that you had an evaporation line (waited too long to read the test)
Or a million other things.
I'd try a different type of test the next time you take an HPT. I wouldn't necessarily jump to "hormone imbalance"
Thank you! The pink line actually appeared at 2 1/2 mins. But prior to that when I stopped taking "the pill" I didn't get my period for 2 months after which was in May. That's why I was worried about "hormone imbalance"
