TTC after 35

Greetings from the UK bit fed up!

Hi ladies! You seem like an encouraging community and I guess I could use someone to talk to as I have friends falling pregnant all around me and so far not happening for me.

Am 37, nearly 38, overweight and have never been on contraception. Get really regular periods. 2428 days long, like clockwork.

My SO had a vasectomy reversal in December and he's convinced it hasn't worked.

Am in the middle of what feels like the worst period of my life, heartburn, excruciating cramping, emotional, 2 days after 26 days and still no sign of proper blood, only watery brown stuff... Bit fed up of waiting, but has anyone else had a really bad period and then it turned out u we're actually preggie?

Any help much appreciated!

Re: Greetings from the UK bit fed up!

  • No, when I've had my period it's been my period, no pregnancy afterwards.

Hi! Welcome to the board! I am relatively new here as well. :)

I feel kind of stupid asking this, but ...have you tested with a home pregnancy test this cycle? No bleeding but cramping could be early pregnancy.

    Keep us posted! xoxo

  • Welcome to the group and I hope to think that you might be preggie!  ;)  But, the only way you will know for sure, is to take a HPT...the signs that you are talking about and not having bright red blood could be.

Check out this site called:  www.countdowntopregnancy.com  it is very helpful with letting you explore DPO symptoms, good accurate pregnancy test results and what dpo to start for more accurate results and pregnancy tools to help understand, if you might be pregnant, but truly the only way to know is to take a test or go see your GP.

Sorry that you are not feeling well, but hopefully, it is for a good reason!  ;)

Please keep us posted and look forward to getting to know you better!

    Cheers!
