  Lurking from IF....my doctor told me I could stop PIO today, at 12dp5dt.  Apparently my progesterone is over 200.  I'm nervous - has anybody done this?

  i stopped both at 8 weeks. i was ecstatic to stop that mess. however, i didn't have progesterone issues to begin with, so if i had, i would have been more nervous stopping probably.

  After I had a reaction to PIO I switched to crinone and then the RE said I could stop at like 7 or 8 weeks. I was nervous too so I can understand!

  Me:30 low AMH; DH:30 MFI (count, motility, morphology)

  2 rounds clomid 100 mg -BFN

  IUI#1- 25 mg clomid- July 2012= BFN!

  IUI #2 August = BFN!

  IUI #3 September = BFN!

  
  

  IVF #1 November - converted to IUI #4 due to poor response = BFN

  IVF #1.2 February- converted to IUI #5 due to poor response = BFN

  IVF #1.3 April- micro dose Lupron flare with HGH; 14R, 13M, 11F! Transfer of 1 day 5 blast on 4/30, 4 frosties. BFP! Beta #1 9dp5dt= 179; Beta #2 11dp5dt= 442; Beta #3 4106 Stick baby stick!!

  My RE checked levels and weaned me off.  

  TTC #1 12/2009
  BFP #1 1/2010, M/C 6 weeks
  BFP #2 6/2010, DD lost to congenital heart disease, we are heartbroken.
  
  TTC #2 4/2011, diagnosed MTHFR, FVL
  Four natural cycles BFN; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;
  1/2012 IVF #1 BFN
  4/2012 FET BFP #3
  5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @ 8w.
  6/2012 found Stage II/III endo on laparoscopy, removed w/ laser.
  8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.
  
  Vacation, break, second opinions, on to new RE.
  1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy BFP #4 (break cycle), IVF #3 postponed.
  2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture gave us a miracle BFP #5!
  Heartbeat on U/S at 6w1d! Baby,please stay!!

  Our miracle baby boy arrived 10/2013!  We are so in love!!

  
  

  10/2014 Surprise BFP #6

  I stopped at 13 and I was a nervous wreck! I figured that since my body wasn't working right in the first place, why would this be different.

  I was just thinking of asking this. My RE had me stop PIO at 8 weeks due to abscess but has me on crinone twice a day until 12 weeks and I am also on estrace until then. Not sure why with the estrace? Anyone? And yes I will stop cold turkey.

  Me (37) DH (39); PCOS changed to Unexplained, changed to DOR in 2012 (finally a correct diagnosis!); 

  Started TTC 2009 with RE after 6 months.  

  Clomid + Trigger x2; 

  IUI + Femara x1,

  IUI + Follistim x2;

  IVF #1 (MDL) February 2013- BFN.

  IVF #2 (antagonist) May 2013, First BFP of my life. 

  Identical twin miracle BOYS (!!) headed our way- due date is technically 2/4/14 but c section is scheduled for 1/7!

  My RE told me stop progesterone at 9w, but my OB told me to stay on until 12w. I ended up stopping at 11w5d when my last box was empty and haven't looked back. It was very scary at first, but all was fine!

  TTC #1 since Oct 2009, Dx: Unexplained Infertility
  HSG: Right tube all clear, left tube inconclusive
  3 failed Clomid Cylces
  4/5 lap revealed blocked left tube, but right tube is open
  April/May- 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI #1= CANCELLED left ovary ovulating
  June 1- 100 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI #1 = BFN
  June 28- 100 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI #2 =BFP!
  7/12 Beta #1= 14 Beta #2= >5 Chemical Pregnancy
  July-Nov long break to recover emotionally and financially
  Nov 24- 100 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI #3= BFN
  Jan 22- Gonal-F + Ovidrel + IUI# 4 = CANCELLED no response on right
  IVF #1- Start stims 4/7, ER 4/20, 21R, 14F, 6 frosties, ET 4/25, 2 embryos transferred= BFN
  FET #1- June 2012, Lurpon starts 5/27- CANCELLED
  FET #1 take 2- August 2012, delayed until Sept-CANCELLED
  FET #1 take 3- ET 10/11, 2 embryos transferred,= BFFN
  FET #2- Transfer 12/4--Cancelled, no embies survived thaw
  Next steps-- IVF #2 with new RE in March

  I stopped at 10 weeks. My RE usually with a singleton keeps people on it for 8 weeks but since I am having twins he kept me on it til 10 weeks.

  Letrozole 2.5mg+estrogen=cycle cancelled for little to no response
  Follistim 75 (10/15-10/19) follistim 67 (10/20-10/21) cycle cancelled due to over response 9 follies and very thin lining
  ~ IVF #1:BC pills started 10/27~
  ~IVF class schedualed for 11/13~
  ~ Lupron starts Thanksgiving day~
  ~Stims start December 1st~
  ~ER: December 12th ~
  ~ET: December 15th~
  19 R. 12. Fertilized with ICSI, 2 transfered

  I'll be 10 weeks Saturday and have my last RE appointment next Tuesday. I was told that if all continues to go well I can stop the prog. at that point also and I had a friend who also did IUI and stopped at 10 weeks too.

  5/07 - DD conceived naturally cycle #1

  8/09 - Started TTC #2
  11/10 - BFP!
  12/10 - MC (Chemical Pregnancy)
  2/11 - IUI #1 with clomid & trigger = BFN
  5/11- Switched to a Fertility Specialist, Dx with low progesterone and annovulatory, several rounds of
           clomid = BFN's
  4/12 - Exploratory Lap, Dx Stage III endo
  5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
  8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
  9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
  1/13 - Referred to an RE
  2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
  3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
  5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!

  thanks ladies. I stopped since I ran out of meds and I do not want to buy more. Thanks I think I will be fine, it is just scary. I took them for so long.

  I started to taper off PIO at 10 weeks and stopped completely in my 11th week.  It's scary but your baby will be fine.

  I'm currently doing 1cc of PIO in the am and 1cc at night.  I think they said it will go to once a day at 10 weeks and then I'm done at either 11 or 12, can't remember.  Not sure about my estrogen patch/pills...hopefully soon, haha!

  I will be stopping my endometrin at 10 weeks. Not sure if they check prog levels though.
