Follow up to allergy testing post

At what age did your babies get the skin test done? DS will be one tomorrow and he has a milk protein intolerance which we are testing as MSPI since the soy protein is so similar. Every time we've asked about going to an allergist we are told that at his age results aren't necessarily accurate. Well as we are trying to challenge him with dairy...which he failed miserably...I feel awful like we're pretending he's some experiment. If there was a way to know if he was allergic I'd obviously much prefer that!

DX: High FSH/DOR
It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    DS was Dx as MSPI. At one year we intro'd dairy and soy and he seemed fine, now he is reacting to something and we don't know what. Since it's not a severe reaction, we were told the earliest they would test would be 18 months.


    After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

    TI Cycle #1, 50 clomid days 3-7, 150 iu Follistim days 8-11 = BFP! EDD May 22, 2014

    Betas: 13 DPO = 79, 15 DPO = 149, 19 DPO = 788, 22 DPO = 2031

    We've done blood tests at 10 months, 2 yrs and 3 yrs. skin tests at 11 months and 3 years. They've all been consistent except picking up a couple extra nuts. But the early tests have proven accurate for us and neither the pedi or allergist were concerned about testing too early and inaccurate results. Good luck!
