my 13 and a half month old has been down to two feedings a day, first thing of the morning, and last of the evening before bed time, and she sleeps 11 hours straight 7:30 pm -6:30am each and every day. and has 2-3 good naps a day, around 50 minutes each.
i know each and every baby and child is different, but how many times a day does your older baby still nurse? is two times a day too little? i have offered more before but she simply turns her head and refuses. so i just figure she wants her normal foods.
just wondering about other mom's and babies. FYI i am a SAHM. don't think it makes much of a difference, but i thought i would throw it out there.
TIA!!
Re: extended BFing poll/question
At that age, DS was still primarily breastfed. He liked nursing more than eating. It's very child specific.
Do what works and don't worry too much. DS is down to 2-3 x a day now (at 2 years old), but I'm pretty sure my milk supply recently hit rock bottom, so I doubt it's really contributing anything to his diet right now.

DD is almost 15 mo and is down to just once in the morning. We just stopped the bedtime session last week. She would probably nurse several more times a day if I offered, but has actually been doing pretty good about not asking.
I guess I don't really understand your question though. After 1, as long as they are eating enough solids, it doesn't really matter how often you nurse.
DD is two but I think she was done probably in the 13-15 month range I can't remember specifically. I let her set her own rhythm it got less and less until I'd realize I went a day without nursing and then maybe once for a nap. She loved table food so I figured she was pooping and that meant she was getting food.
If she's eating food and refusing the boob then she might be weaning herself off and you can decrease the feeding.
I'm a working mom. My son (also 13 months!) nurses upon wake up 6am, I pump at work around 1pm for his sippy cup at daycare, he nurses again at 7:30pm for bedtime, and then nurses when he wakes up overnight, for a total of 4x a day.
I don't think 2x is too little.
