What does RSVP mean to you? Is it respond only if you are coming or let us know either way? Ugh, getting people to respond to invitations is like pulling teeth!
I was on team respond either way because youre sofuckingrude if you dont. and then, i just got an email 5 minutes ago from a mom in DDs class whos DDs bday party is this weekend. "i never got your RSVP. Is she coming?" I kicked myself out of the polite club.
LOL!! Yeah, I have been thinking that it's rude not to respond either way, however, I'm pretty sure people are just busy and forget!
Re: Etiquette Question
RSVP means to respond either way.
Regrets only is the way to respond if you are not going.
Or at least that's my take on it.
Which if you think about it, it's really the same thing.
The literal translation is "respond please", so respond either way.
People are so bad about this, though.

Repondez s'il vous plait.
It means please answer. I answer either way.
RSVP means respond whether you plan to attend or not.
People are rude.
