Funny DB Moment

So after our baby shower last Saturday we really started organizing the nursery. While we were putting the diapers away, I look over to DB who is neatly stacking them and he had this confused look on his face, then turns to me and asks which side is the front if the diaper. I just started laughing and told him that the front says the size on it. He is still so confused over this and can not figure out why the front of the diaper is the front. BECAUSE THAT'S HOW THEY MADE IT lol. His first diaper change is going to be an interesting one. Our LO will probably have a diaper on backwards!

What is one of the funniest things your SO has done during your pregnancy?

It's not really funny, just makes me shake my head and laugh:

He'll talk to my belly, kiss and prod it trying to get LO to move and doesn't get a response. Then when I tell him to come over b.c she is moving, he's like "nah".

When I first started feeling LO kicking, I'd tell my boyfriend to feel too. He was always very "oh cool...." About it. Not excited or impressed. Lately, now that LO doesn't kick as much as do full body rolls and nudges that make my whole belly move, I tell boyfriend to feel and with wide eyes he said "WHAT IS HE DOING IN THERE?!" Haha I was happy he finally gave more of an emotional response. I guess it's finally getting real for him.

during our baby shower, he had to change a diaper on a baby alive doll. My SIL put melted chocolate in it and it looked so gross. He proceeded to hold the baby by the feet hanging in the air and turned the baby face down. At the end of changing the diaper, he picked up the baby and slammed it on the table and said DONE.

My DH does the exact same thing. I'm interested to see how his first diaper change is going to go too.

He has made some jokes that I find funny, but only because I share his twisted sense of humor; any other woman would probably kill him. Like one time I showed him a picture of a woman with stretch marks and a quote that said "Your body is not ruined. You are a tiger who has earned her stripes." And the next morning while getting dressed, my DH looks at me and says "They're grrrreat" (as in Tony the Tiger, frosted flakes slogan). I laughed, rolled my eyes, and proceeded to put on my tiger shirt. As I said any other woman probably would have killed him.

ETA: Gah, what is with me lately? I meant to quoted henderson1.

DH has a weird sense of humor that I understand as well. while other people would look at him like, "how could you say that?!", I shrug it off

Zebra is my favorite. I'm actually wearing the tiger shirt in my avatar. It's kinda cool because the tiger head is directly across my bump, so it gives it this 3D look.

that is awesome!! I love zebra, too. My sister even did my shower in a pink leopard/pink zebra theme

Haha, his first diaper change is going to be awesome! I would love to be a fly on the wall for that one!

My DH gets nervous going into the OBs office and so he gets fidgety. The first time he walked in and was sort of pacing awkwardly then picked up something and goes "is this a tongue scraper?". My response "Nope, that is a pap smear scraper, they open up your vag and scrape cells off of your cervix to check for cancer." I have never seen him put something down so quickly!!

DH changed his first diaper on a doll last week at our newborn class. He didn't drop the doll on it's head so I think we are headed in the right direction. But I am expecting lots of laughs and backward diapers.

My husband put his first diaper on backwards. I thought it was hilarious , took several pics of him and sent it to our family. I still make fun of him. I mean , it's more work to get it on backwards, which should be your first clue. Right? Lol

DH responds like this too when she does alien movements. Last night, he was like, "No. You're joking." He was in total disbelief at her in utero acrobatics.

DH and I were watching a show on Hulu and during one of the commercial breaks, he starts talking to my tummy (LO) and says "Hello! Are you in there?!" and I kid you not, a few seconds later LO kicked hard enough that my tummy moved and it was where DH had tapped. The look on DH's face was priceless.

My DH put a "practice" diaper on a stuffed bear an lets jus at there was a lot of staring at the diaper and flipping it over in his hands multiple times and just looking completely confused. He swears after a few real changes on the baby he'll be like a NASCAR pit crew.... I'll believe it when I see it
