  I use it, AKA Femara. It stimulates follie growth like clomid. I like it better than clomid because I dont have side affects.

  I did several iui cycles with it. No side effects which is awesome! I had two follies each time, one time I had a third smaller follie. I never took it with other meds, but I have heard of re's combining with IVF.

  I took it for my iui and my RE said it has less side effect than chlomid. I had no side effect and got 2 follies every time

  I had several IUis with letrizole, and my only IVF cycle had me take letrizole in the beginning, followed by Gonal-f, menopur, etc. I thought it was weird, too. From what I've read online, it is not necessarily a common approach, but there is evidence that for certain situations, it can definitely help. Our cycle resulted in DD, so it worked well for us.

  I'd link to those studies/papers if I could remember where they were...

  I thought it was weird. I did a lot of online reading where it talked about stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs like clomid does. But I guess I didn't understand why they'd want to make my ovaries produce eggs when that's what the expensive meds are for. Fingers crossed it works. Now if only AF would show.
