Rec your non diaper bag diaper bag

DS is old enough where I don't really need to carry a diaper bag, but a regular purse doesn't quite work. My youngest requires so little that I can just throw his things in whatever bag I use. I want to get a bag that still has pockets, is wipeable, etc, but isn't huge like a diaper bag. Does anyone have a recommendation, or found one that works well?

I bought a Kate Spade bag that, while technically a diaper bag, looks more like a large purse/tote bag but still has all the pockets compartments of a diaper bag. It's nylon so it's wipeable.

I've also used a Vera Bradley tote bag, which has great pockets also, but it's not wipeable (although it can be washed) and it has an open top, which is not my preferance for any type of purse/bag.  But, it's a nice bag and I do carry it from time to time also when I need to combine a purse with DS's diaper stuff and don't want to carry my black nylon bag.

  • I like my lesportsac. Lightweight, cute patterns, can throw in the wash, lots of different sizes, plenty of zippered pockets, great purse.

I use a small messenger-style bag.  Mine is from Life is Good but I have also seen some cute Sherpani ones.  It is just big enough to hold a couple diapers, a small packet of wipes, my wallet, and a baggie of snacks.  It works great and is much less of a pain to haul around than a diaper bag.

I do keep the diaper bag in the car with extra diapers, spare clothes, blanket, etc. just in case, but I don't really need all that stuff when we are out and about.

  • I was looking for the same thing and found the perfect bag....Keen Brooklyn.

It's such a great size, can hold a ton, but isn't nearly as big as a diaper bag.  I can fit a couple diapers, wipes, snacks and even my iPad.  Tons of different pockets and is wipeable.   I also like that I can wear it across my body.

  • I have a JuJuBe Be Quick wristlet.  It comfortably fits about 4 diapers, a small wipes box, a pouch or two, my wallet and phone, and sunblock.  Super convenient.

I have a non-nylon KS bag, but same idea.   I love it and get lots of complements on it.  I think most people don't realize it's a diaper bag.

  • The kids I babysit have a miniature Jansport backpack that the older one loves to wear, so their mom doesn't carry anything more than her small purse. It's pretty cute.

  • Thanks ladies! I just bought a Ju Ju Be Quick, it is exactly what I was looking for, and cute enough to use as a purse when I'm by myself
