We started experimenting with solids (avocado and banana) over the past few weeks. DD was really intereted and met all of the developmental milestones. She was in fact chewig while we ate dinner, mimicking us and reachng for our food. Well she LOVES solids, never spit them out with her tongue, would eat more if we let her, etc. HOWEVER now she is not pooping as much, it took her 4 days to poop the first time (shes never gone more than 2 days between poops) and now we are going onanother 4 day no poop. She seems content overall but does grunt a lot trying to poop. I am wondering if we should stop giving her solid food, but I also don't want to stop and then start agian and have to have her system adjust all over....
Is anyone else experiencing this? What should I do here?
Re: introduced solids, now not pooping as much
Before we even started solids DS would regularly go 3-4 days between poops. I think it's not anything to worry too much about as long as she's seems comfortable (DS grunts while pooping/farting sometimes) and as long as the poops don't come out super hard/dry, which would indicate constipation.
This past week DS finally started actually EATING enough solids to change his poop.He demands more and more (especially bananas). Yesterday he had a 'grown up' poop ball in his diaper. It was very easy to plop in the toilet and didn't have the super bad smell I was afraid of. I'm sure as he eats more and more diverse food it'll get worse though. :P
