How many days did you stim?

Hi ladies,

I intro'ed a few weeks ago and have been pretty dormant since then while waiting to start my first IVF cycle.   I am wondering how many days you experienced IVF'ers stimmed (I'll be using 300iu follistim).  In the past, i had an average of 8 days for my injectable iui's with 125iu. 

I'm trying to figure my work schedule as best as I can to allow for bed rest and less stress after retrieval and transfer.  The IVF coordinator told me to assume 10 days as an average.

    With IVF #1, I stimmed 11 days.  With #2 I stimmed for 10.  I think for 3 they are planning on 10 again as an estimate.

    Feb'12- July'12-testing(all clear minus slight arcuate ute), 3 IUI with clomid all BFN
    8/30IVF#1 Antagonist protocol- ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F. 
    ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
    IVF#2 Antagonist protocol plus baby aspirin- ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
    ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
    3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy, Consulted w Dr. Kwak-Kim.  
    DX: High NK cells, cytokines, DHEAs& PAI1;  hypothyroid, +APA, restricted bloodflow
    7/13 IVF#3 Long lupron protocol with PIO, Crinone, Prometrium, and vivelle
    (plus synthroid, metformin, baby asa, metanx, PNV, Vit E, D, calcium, fish oil, CoQ10, IVIg infusions and lovenox per Dr. Kwak-kim)
    ER 7/19 14R, 11M, 9F(4 natural fert, 5 with ICSI)
    ET 5dt 7/24 2 fully expanded blasts.  SURPRISE 3 FROSTIES!!!
    Beta #1 8/2 335!!!! Beta #2 829!!!  1st u/s 8/14 showed TWINS!!!!!

    I stimmed 12 days but I think if you stimmed for 8 before then that's a good estimation

    I feel your pain of trying to plan-unfortunately, it's close to impossible! I am on the antagonist protocol, with Lupron trigger, because I have polycystic ovaries. I start with 100 Follistim and 75 Menopur, went to 116 Follistim with 75 menopur, then down to 108 Follistim and 150 Menopur, and I (think) that I'm triggering tonight. It will be 11 days of stimming for me. Good luck!

    *Male Factor (low count and low motility), High Prolactin, and Polycystic Ovaries (March 2013)
    *Recurrent Miscarriage testing also revealed high anti-phospholipids & single MTHFR mutation. (Feb 2014)

    *FET #2 (12/2013)- BFP-Missed Miscarriage at 8 weeks <3 Kyle Andrew <3
    *Chromosomes and Karotyping tests were both normal.We lost a healthy baby boy :(
    *FET #3 (04/2014) was cancelled after finding Chronic Endometritis
    *Miraculous BFP July 2014!! (I was taking baby aspirin and Cabergoline to stay regulated while "taking a break from TTC" and waiting to consult with a reproductive immunologist!!!) 

    Our healthy baby girl was born 03/10/15 thanks to daily Lovenox injections and baby aspirin. There are no words for how grateful I am for our rainbow baby. <3

    I stimmed for 11 days.  

     Btw, the dog in your profile pic is so cute!!  We have a 2 yr old Vizsla too and just love him!!

    I stimmed for 7 days. My RE uses 10 as an estimate too. If you can, you might want to be flexible for a week around when your 10 days would be.
    TTC since December 2011
    Me: 29 ovulatory disorder
    DH: 30 MFI - low everything

    IUI #1: 11/5/12 BFN
    December IUI cancelled due to cyst
    IUI #2: 1/8/13 BFN

    IVF in April 2013 transferred one beautiful blast on 4/13
    Beta #1 4/22: BFP!! 33 Beta #2 54 Beta #3 70 Beta #4 83 Beta #5 105. Possible ectopic, MTX and M/C 5w4d

    FET 6/21 - Beta #1: 79 BFP!! Beta #2: 253 U/S 7/12: saw the sac! U/S #2 7/19 great heartbeat of 127!! U/S #3 heartbeat of 154! U/S #4 graduated to OB

    I stimmed for 9 days.  I started with 150 Gonal F and 1 vial Menopur.  By the end, I was on 75 Gonal F and 1/2 vial Menopur. I was lowered a few times during.  I almost went 10 days, but my left side was bigger than my right.

    I was 14 days the first time, hoping for a few less this time.

    TTC since 9/2011

    IVF #3 w/ICSI = 9/2013 = BFP!   Beta #1 9/9: 79, Beta #2 9/12: 441

    11 days for me!
    | Married since 2008 | DH and I: Both 30 | Me: Endometriosis and Carrier of an X-Linked Dominant Genetic Disorder | DH: Low Morph | Planning IVF with PGD and PGS in 2013 | Freeze-All IVF #1: March 2013 ER 3/26. 29R, 12M, 11F. 4 5AA frozen blasts. Freeze-All IVF#2: May 2013 ER 5/15. 31R, 21M, 20F. 6 5AA frozen blasts. Our PGD probe was completed in late June (total of 20 weeks to develop). PGD and PGS Results came on 6/19: 3 healthy embryos (normal chromosomes and unaffected by my family's genetic disorder). FET #1: July 2013 Natural Cycle - Cancelled due to insufficient lining (only got to 7.5mm). FET #1.2: August 2013 - Medicated Cycle with Lupron & Estrogen Patches to build up lining. Single embryo transfer was 8/23. Beta #1: 240! Beta #2: 578! U/S on 9/19 at 6w4d: We saw the heart beating at 131bpm. Second U/S on 10/4 at 8w5d: We saw the heart beating at 178bpm. EDD 5/11/2014

    I stimmed for 13 days.  They told me that was on the longer side.

    I have done 11, 11 and 9. I did the same protocol on the two that were 11 days.

    Age: 35 TTC since 2005, MFI & DOR 

    IVF #1 Sep '11 - canceled poor response

     IVF #2 Nov '11  8R/8M/4F 3dt x2 - chemical

    IVF #3 April '12  11R/6M/4F 3dt x2 - m/c

    Me: 30, POF/DOR, factor II hetero, MTHFR homo
    5 IVF's, LLP, EEP, MDLF all BFN
    IVF 6 using DEB USA frozen eggs
    developed bilateral PE's from BCP, cancelled/delayed 6 mths, taking lovenox
    Feb'15 SURPRISE 1st BFP ever! EDD: 10/10/15, FX
    Still have frozen donor eggs on ice

    8 days for me, started on 300u gonal f and 75 menopur, my body reacted too quickly even though I did not respond well to meds during iui.

    IVF#1 - 17 days with 75iu of Bravelle for the first 8 days then increased to 150

    IVF#2 - 13 days with 150iu Bravelle for first 7 days then decreased to 75 iu

    Me:PCOS, fibroids DH: no issues 
    TTC for 3 years. IVF #1 in Jan 12 - severe OHSS; miscarriage at 11 weeks
    2 myomectomies and 6 hysteroscopies in 2012 and 2013.
    FET in Aug 2013 BFP

    It's worth mentioning that I have PCOS so the ovaries can't be rushed, so to speak
    Me:PCOS, fibroids DH: no issues 
    TTC for 3 years. IVF #1 in Jan 12 - severe OHSS; miscarriage at 11 weeks
    2 myomectomies and 6 hysteroscopies in 2012 and 2013.
    FET in Aug 2013 BFP
