I have a glass of wine each night at dinner. One of the LCs I work with asked me if I thought that was a good idea since I am nursing. I told her that I didn't think it was a big deal since its one glass. Nursing mamas what do you think big deal or no?
Re: Ill advised?
I was told one drink per day wasn't a big deal, although the LCs I talked to did recommend maybe having it after the bedtime nursing session so there would be a longer period between feedings. However, I think the general rule is if you're safe to drive you're safe to nurse. I'm assuming you're having maybe 4 or 5 ounces of wine with your dinner, not a giant glass or the whole bottle. I probably wouldn't worry about it so long as you're not getting tipsy and/ or crunk!
