VBAC

SPD?

Over the last two weeks I have been experiencing very severe pain in my pelvic bone and in the muscles connected to it. It hurts to stand, walk, roll over and even sit. I was looking up my symptoms cause the pain is so bad and I didn't have it before(with my last pregnancy). Anyway, while reading about it I came across this statement 'in some cases SPD can make a vaginal birth impossible and a C-section is required' since I am hoping for a VBAC this time around those words frightened me. Anyway I was just wondering if any one you have had SPD with your VBAC babies? or know of anyone who had a VBAC with SPD.

Re: SPD?

  • I wouldn't worry. I've had it for three pregnancies. I had a cs with my first but it had nothing do to with the ligament pain, and I had a VBAC two years and am planning my second VBAC. I never even felt it in either of my labors, so I'm not worried about it at all. I wondered the first time whether it would impact, but I'm confident it did not.

  • Thank's I wasn't worried about it at all just figured I am pregnant things hurt, that is just the way it is and then I find this article that says oh some women have to have a C-section because of it and it just freaked me out I really can't have another C-section. The recovery will kill me with almost 2 year old twins.
