Diaper Recommendation

LO has been crawling and standing for a while now and it looks like walking is imminent. Once she started crawling we switched to Pampers Cruisers but I don't love them. Before crawling we only ever used Pampers Swaddlers which we LOVED so I don't know if it's more of a "compared to Swaddlers these aren't great" or if the diapers just aren't fantastic. Anyway, I find that we get leaks (not big ones or even very often) with the Cruisers (we never had a single one with the Swaddlers) and am looking for advice/recommendations on what to try next. Part of my issue is that I figure if we're getting leaks and I don't love them anyway I might as well try a store-brand since they're so much less expensive. Has anyone had luck using a Walmart, Target, or BJ's brand diaper? Also, did anyone change the diaper they used when LO started to walk, or is it pretty much the same as crawling? TIA!!

    We aren't full on crawling but my LO's moving all over the place anywhere she can, so I don't know if we'll change once she's moving more consistently but I love Luvs diapers. They actually seem to fit her a little bit differently than Pampers did (I used the Swaddlers for the first 2-3 months then switched). They hold up just as well and so much cheaper!

    With my DD I used Pampers Baby Dry until she was potty trained. I tried Cruisers briefly, but found they leaked. My thought as to why was that she was very slender and the leg holes on Cruisers are a little more 'roomy' to allow for easier crawling and walking. I switched back to Baby Dry and she only leaked if she slept more than 12 hours straight.

    I swear by Huggies little movers. Practically no leaks. Only if she has a major blowout. She's crawling and cruising and I haven't had an issue.

    Did you have a problem with swaddlers when LO started crawling, or did you just decide to switch because cruisers are for crawling?

    If you didn't have any issues I would switch back. They just started selling swaddlers in sizes 4 and 5 at the target by me.

    LO isn't walking or crawling yet, but she's a skinny minnie leaks a lot if her diapers don't fit perfectly. We switched from 1's (which were leaking almost every time) to 2's (poop would shoot out the leg holes half the time) and then to Costco's 1-2's (which are like 1.5's and are working well for now). I think she does leak less with Huggies compared to Pampers Swaddlers, and the Costco brand are pretty much just like Huggies, so I've been using them. 

    I did try a pack of Luv's when she was really little and I was impressed with them. They felt more crunchy and thin but I didn't notice any difference in absorptive quality and if they were the cheapest, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them. As it stands for us, Costco Huggies or Costco brand is the cheapest and easiest for us.

    DS obviously isn't crawling and I'm really curious how his LUVS will hold up once he starts. I absolutely love LUVS and I was so happy I switched from Pampers Swaddlers because A) they are WAY cheaper and B) I've only had leaks/blow outs when he is approaching a new size. The Pampers seemed to leak fairly often. Fingers crossed his LUVS keeps performing!

    Thank so much for all of the great suggestions and the heads up about the larger Swaddlers sizes! I think I'll pick up a pack of Luvs and give that a go first. Thanks again ladies - it is much appreciated!

    I agree with this, although we've never had a leak.

    LO crawls and we still use Swaddlers size 3
