Ok DD is 14 months old- for drinks she only gets whole cows milk or water- not a big fan of milk in the sippy cup- so she gets a bottle before bed- so she's getting enough milk- but she used to drink more water from the sippy and now I feel like she hardly drinks any water- I always offer and she pushes it out of the way- I've tried from mummy's cup and she'll do it but then let it dribble out of her mouth.
how much water does ur little one drink? What's normal? Should I be concerened?
Re: Not drinking enough water
Every kid is so different. If her diapers are still wet and she's happy, let it be.
It's also ebbs and flows. Soon enough she'll down what seems likes gallons and then not want it for awhile again.
My own toddler is on the abnormal side of high..and I worry about that somedays..ha. Can't win either way.
Kids are also so different. If she's acting fine, she probably is.
Also, most kids aren't big fans of water. On the Bump I swear all kids love the stuff..but in my IRL very few actually do.
This has also been my experience. My kid drank so much water that I asked about it at his 18 month appointment, because it was getting on ridiculous side.
2 months later, and he's very much on a milk kick - asking for milk more often than water and his water intake has substantially decreased.
I'm sure it all evens out in the end.
Ok she still has the same amount of wet diapers and she does eat a lot offruit like watermelon - so maybe she's getting water in different ways?!?!?
and I know I've seen on here how moms worry they're child isn't eating enough- and most peds say they will not starve themselves, they'll eat when they're hungry-
I just get nervous that dehydration happens so easy -
