only 2 teeth

My 16 month old only has his two bottom teeth which came in around 10 months. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm afraid it might affect his speech.

    Addy had no teeth until she was 14 months. She now has 3 teeth, none of which are 100% grown in, and a fourth cutting any second now. She's days away from 16 months. At her 15 month appointment her pedi said she will recommend speech therapy if she has not made major improvements by her 18 month appt. I do not think this has anything at all do do with her teeth though, but I could be wrong.

    Though teeth are "supposed" to come in by a certain time, and in a certain order, they don't always!  I have a nephew who didn't start getting any teeth until he was 17mo old...and it took them a while to come in then.  He was also older when he lost teeth.  His dentist said that it's a sign of good healthy teeth.  His speech was not impacted in the least!
