Hi i have been lurking for some time now, but wanted to introduce myself.  I turned 35 in April and have a DS who is 19 months.  My husband and I have been trying for #2 since October, 2012.  Went to RE last month for first time and found out this week that my fsh level are very high and my amh levels are low.  Met with RE yesterday and he told me that I am running out if time to have another baby.  Needless to say I was shocked and devastated all at once.  I really thought he was going to tell me there is no hope.  He seemed pretty positive and told us that we needed to be aggressive.  I just started Clomid, but he switched me to the injectables to get me to produce more follicles.  I am a bit overwhelmed. The next thing I need to decide is whether to keep doing natural cycles or just go right to IUI. My insurance only pays for testing and monitoring, but not procedures so I know it is going to be expensive.  It is just something my DH and I need to decide.  I wish everyone on here Good Luck! and hope we all see a BFP in our near future.

    My Dr the IUI was abot $400, but I know the meds are expensive! Thankfully my insurance covered the majority of them!

    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome to the group, Chrisnevelyn.

    I hope you will find this group supportive and helpful for what you are going through.....Most of us, here are in a similar boat, as you.  :)

    I know this TTC stuff can get overwhelming, but don't feel shy to ask, vent or share whatever you need.  We are all here to support each other.

    Best of Luck in finding the solution that will work for your family and keep us posted on how things transpire.....

    Welcome! We're doing IVF out of pocket and all I can say is yes ouch but as you get used to it the sticker shock wears off. There's also lots of options for getting prices down which helps a little. Good luck!
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

    AMA & SAIF. TTC #1 since Oct. 2010. DX: Unexplained. BFP on break after 32 months trying and 2 med cycles. Baby girl born at 40w0d!
