Anyone live in Chicago area and go to swedish covenant hospital to have their baby or for ob prenatal care during pregnancy? By midwife or ob dr? Advice and reviews would be appreciated.
Thanks.
I'm due between feb 8 to 11, 2014. This is my second baby. I'm looking for an all natural vaginal delivery this time, just like the last and No medications.
Re: Swedish Covenant Hospital
My sister had a very horrible experience with the OB group at swedish and ended up going to Northwestern because she was fed up with them. She thought she was having trouble conceiving so they had sent her for some very invasive tests that caused a ton of bleeding and when they checked on the source of the bleeding, it turned out that she was actually pregnant. Luckily, she delivered a very healthy baby girl at NMH.
Also, for what it's worth, I know someone who works in the medical malpractice in the area who told me to never ever go to Swedish Covenant. If in an ambulance, demand that they take you somewhere else.
I have heard of one person who had a great experience there, not including pp, but if I were you, I think it'd be worth it to go to Rush or Northwestern.
