This check-in is for mommas who lost a baby due in the month of August (any year), and any late loss mommas who gave birth and lost their precious angel in August. New to the check in: Welcome. I?m so sorry you find yourself here but hope you find the love and support you need from the amazing women on TTCAL. Tell us a bit about yourself, where you are in the TTCAL process, and don?t forget to include your August EDD or birth date.

Ha! Last week was a really low week, professionally, for me. It was the last week of school and many of my friends from school left for other jobs at other schools and my co-teacher is due in July and won't be returning to school until November. While I am excited for my friends it just reminded me how much I DON'T have to look forward to this summer. ::pity party over::

I am, as always I guess, feeling optimistic this cycle. I had an awful beginning with a 10 day AF visit, but since I have felt good. Our timing was great and I am trusting my body and my OPK skills more with timing things right. Hopefully July 4th weekend will bring a great firework surprise!

ETA: GTKY: If you could meet someone famous, living or from history, who would it be?

I would want to meet John Lennon. He has always fascinated me and I would just want to talk to him about his life and what he thinks about the world now.

Sorry this is late. I didn't sit down to the computer until late last night. I had to take my test (which I PASSED!), then DH & I had to be at the Tball fields (my nephew plays & DH helps coach) from 5:30 to 8 last night, then still had to water the garden when we got home. I was exhausted, to say the least.

I actually have an update this week. I think DH & I have decided to adopt. Every time I thought about doing IVF I would nearly have an anxiety attack. My heart rate would go up, BP would go up, & my chest would feel tight. I had been praying about it for a while & finally got the peace about the decision. We are still going to TTC but I don't feel as stressed about it now. My full post about it is on TTCAL+6 if you want to check it out.

GTKY: For some reason I have always wanted to meet Dolly Parton. I think she is so funny & down to earth.

I don't think it's corny to want to meet your great-grandmother. I wish I could go back in time & talk to my great-great-great grandpa. He was an immigrant from Italy & I would love to know more about him.

Congrats again EK, I know you've worked so hard for that registry!

Unfortunately no confirmed O, I can't even get a + on OPKs which is odd for me. I'm starting to wonder if it's a faulty batch (I was sent differently packaged Wondfos than my previous batch), I always had a clear fade in and out pattern with the other OPKs. So confused by that! In the end, though, I leave for a week today so really all I can do is cross my fingers and hope, confirming O or not wont change the outcome now!

I've always wanted to meet Freddie Mercury, I don't know why but he just fascinates me. He was such an amazing personality with an even more amazing voice, and I always wonder what he and Queen would have gone on to do if he hadn't died so young.

Hey ladies! Sorry I missed the last check in, been kinda hectic these past couple of weeks.

So today is CD 14 - got my High/Positive OPK this AM on the CB Easr Advanced Digital, but the Wondfo's aren't quite there yet so the digi must be super sensitive. But I'm still taking it as a + and will test again this afternoon when I get home from work. Its only my 2nd month temping but if it follows the pattern like last time, I should O on CD 16. We've begun the daily BD'ing over the weekend so I'm hoping and praying month 4 is our lucky one. If not, the next cycle is going to be especially hard. It would put me at both my due date, and smack in the middle of my TWW. Not sure I can handle that combo . . .

I've warned DH its going to be a rough week/weekend when it comes around. We may sneak away and get out of town for the weekend. Perhaps hit a near by beach or something to keep us busy. I know sometimes he doesn't understand the lingering grief - but I know he sees it, and the frustration having to take the meds/pee in a cup/wake up to temp, etc. to no avail. Think I'm giving it another few months with my OB and then if nothing, requesting an early referral to an RE.

QOTHW: I'd love to have met Marilyn Monroe . . .

That's frustrating not to even have a +OPK after your early O last month. I think you can check the lot # online to see if you have a bad batch of OPK's.

Fx that this is your cycle! Hopefully your EDD won't be too hard on you. The anticipation of the day was harder than the actual day for me. Get away on that day & make good memories. ((((hugs))))

Hi EK Gibs - CONGRATS - Happy Tuesday.

A lot has happened since I last checked in. I've seen my doctor multiple times and had lots of blood work done. I'm been diagnosed with mild PCOS and LP defect. My progesterone levels were abysmal and my most recent LP was 8 days again.

My doctor recommended Clomid and I started my first cycle yesterday. I'm nervous and anxious. I go in next week for more blood work and an ultrasound.

I'd love to meet Oprah. She's just so interesting.

Also, unrelated sidenote: peanut+muse is still listed above, but I'm nearly positive she got a BFP a few months ago.

I'm glad you were able to get some answers. Sorry about the PCOS but maybe since you know there is a problem, it can be fixed. Good luck on the clomid!

Thanks for the heads up on peanut+muse. I think she checked in once or twice but then didn't anymore. If I see someone on pgal I move them but I guess she's not posting there much. Congrats to her!

That is incredible family news! What an amazing realization and that DH is about it too...I don't know if my DH would be as supportive...

Hey EK! Congrats on passing your exam! That's great news!!

I don't have much to report. Been super busy at work and not very active. Obviously last month was not my month like I had hoped but such is life. I figure it's a sort of blessing in disguise so that I can "celebrate" my 30th bday next month. DH thinks that this may be our month. He watched some show about fertility late at night and was telling me about all of the stuff he learned. Of course it's nothing that I haven't already told him many times over but you know men lol. My job made me switch my days off starting in July so I can no longer have Fridays and Saturdays off, I have to haveThursdays and Saturdays off. I was super mad about it. But maybe it won't matter if I ever get told that I got the promotion.

Interesting question. I think I would want to meet Cleopatra, just because she's cool.

After having the roller coaster of a possible CP last week, AF came yesterday and Im going to my RE for a baseline US tomorrow. Since AF was a little late, it looks like I will probably be back from vacation to have another US during O time so we are trying another medicated cycle, but not clomid as it gave me some crazy visual side effects. Not sure what it's called.

As much as last week sucked, I'm glad to have a bit of peace for a few weeks until I hit the dreaded 2WW again. Since I've started medicating its the worst. I cannot concentrate on anything else and I'm constantly wasting money testing when I know I shouldn't. Hopefully it will get easier and a vacay next week will keep our minds off everything.

Again, thanks for welcoming me here. If I could meet anyone I would love to meet the cast of Duck Dynasty. I love their views on faith and I think they would be hysterical to hang out with!!!

I am doing well. Into the 2WW, so hoping things go quickly until next week. Today is DS's birthday, so we are doing family stuff today, his party is Sunday, and then our 7 year wedding anniversary is Monday, so there is a lot going on to (hopefully) keep my mind off of pregnancy. We BD'd a lot the last 2 weeks, so I am hopeful. Thanks for the check in!

GTKY: I would like to meet LM Montgomery, who wrote Anne of Green Gables. It is my favorite book!

Sorry about AF showing up. I took clomid & believe it caused vitreous degeneration in my right eye. It only flares up when I'm tired or have studied too long but it sucks.

I love Duck Dynasty! One of my ducks (I have 6 rouens) is named Sy b/c it's crazy.

As for the 2ww, it's going pretty good. I am still hopeful, temps are remaining high and today I am 11dpo. My chart is looking like a triphasic chart so that has me really hopeful. I plan to poas Friday.

Life has been so sad and hard lately. It would be great to finally have something to celebrate. Thursday is 3 months since we lost Alice, so happy news on Friday would be so welcome.

GTKY: If you could meet someone famous, living or from history, who would it be?

I would love to meet Alice Paul. Her work for the Women's Suffrage movement awes me. Uh and I just realized she has the same name as my daughter. There is NO connection at all! My daughter was named after my maternal grandmother.

Ahhhhhh I knew I loved you!! I have 5 Pekin and 2 mallards. Unfortunately I have to move to Baltimore soon so I have found a new home for them, but I'm not going to give them up until I have to! They are my sweet babies.
