Normally i just lurk on this board but i do have a bavy shower question. I go to cosmetology school and am very close with three of the girls i go to school with. Them and several other girls keep bringing up having a school baby shower for me. Which is very sweet of them.

But most the girls i go to school with. Am not close with, especially not close enough to invite them to a shower for my baby but id love to do something with my three friends from school.

Any suggestions? Or do i just smile and let them throw me a shower since they seem really excited about it?

    Maybe you can suggest something low key, like a celebration lunch.  If you don't feel comfortable asking them to come to a shower, don't include registry information and if anyone wants to bring a gift they can bring something they want to give you.  The girls who want to throw the shower might also talk to you about a larger item that anyone interested could contribute money to.

    To me, this is the same as a work place.  Which means my advice is if they are actually offering you a shower, then yes - smile and accept it.  It's nice of them to offer and I see no reason to say no.

     If for some reason, though, this shower doesn't actually happen- you could invite the 3 friends to an "out of work" shower if you want.  But just be careful.  Can they keep it on the downlow? 

    ANd no matter what- good friends or not- these 3 should only be invited to ONE shower.

    I actually turned down a shower from my family because i dont like being the center of attention. They definitley could.

    I think i am just going to see what happens thanks for the advice
