Mirena side effects. Tmi probably

I got mirena in November. It's been great. Only 1 period since, occasional light spotting. No big thing. But I CANNOT lose a pound. And I am working out like a monster. I can see definition, but no real changes. Also since I've gotten it, I've gotten like abscesses in that area. No ingrown hairs. They get massive and they hurt so bad. My gyn has seen them after the exploded and said its just acne. No way. Any one else? I'm thinking its hormonal. I never had this on nuva ring.

I mean, not going to say it's impossible that mirena is the cause, but the hormone level involved is so tiny that I'd be extremely skeptical that these things are caused by it. I'm inclined to believe your gyn on this one.

If they were little, maybe. But they are the size of my thumb or bigger. He's never actually seen one at its peak. I sent one out for a culture through my work and it came back with some weird form of staph
