Abbott Mother Baby Birth Center

Has anyone delivered here?  I just found out it is the only hospital my doctor is delivering at.  We live in the south metro and I'm a little nervous about making the drive at who knows what time in unknown weather.  I had a great experience at Ridges.  Tell me about Abbott. :)

Dx low progesterone October 2010, IUI success and then a total surprise!

    I have a friend that just gave birth at Abbot 3 weeks ago.  She really loved it.

    My cousin just gave birth there a month ago and loved it. Everything is new, and the rooms are so nice! We are already preregistered for our Oct. delivery and have our birthing class/walk thru at the end of the month!

    I delivered there on March 30th and we ha a great experience and it was only operating a month or two at that point. It's brand new with all the amenities huge rooms and private bath, large flat screen, ipod docking station and the staff was great. It has an irban hotel feel. Come to find out the weekend I was there they delivered 22 babies an you meet would have known it as we felt like we were the only ones there. I highly recommend it.
    Me: 35/Hubs: 35 - just moved to Minneapolis from Chicago. TTC for 18 months and expecting baby #1 April 18, 2012! Needed IVF after a few failed rounds of IUI and it worked!

    If getting downtown is convenient for you I highly recommend Dr. Eizabeth Elfstrand at John Haugen Associates.  She has offices downtown on Nicollet Mall and also in Edina.

    She is!  She is very straight forward and personable - doesn't beat around the bush and says how it is which I appreciate.  

    I have some friends who also go to the same practice but different doctors and they are happy to (in the event her schedule doesn't work for you or something).

    My SIL is a post part im nurse at Abbott and lives it. She's trying to convince me to deliver there because she thinks the department is awesome. Sadly. My OB only delivers at St. John's.
