Stop the madness!

Ok, so this kid turned 7 months on Friday and decided to say Dada, while looking at DH, which resulted in tears, hahaha... And, yesterday got himself into a seated position. Holy cow. We lowered the crib yesterday and now I'm holding my breath waiting for him to start sprinting and going off to school. UGH. SAD!!!!! But, of course I'm grateful for the healthy boy that I have and that he is growing and progressing as he should. It's just sad to see how fast this is all going.

So now what, he'll pull himself up next? Or crawl? He gets on all fours and rocks now for a few weeks. Also, he gets into crawling position from a seated position too. I feel like this is too soon. I am not ready!

  • I completely agree. It is unbelievable how fast it is all happening!  It has made me want a second much sooner than I thought!
  • I'm in that boat too! Rosie can rock on all 4's, babbles "dadadada" all day and is thisclose to sitting up! They grow too fast!

  • That's great :). We seem to be lagging behind a bit (not really but sometimes it seems that way) but he can finally sit on his own for a bit (we was actually using his legs to stabilize better this weekend) and is so close to getting on all fours but he's already lunged himself forward without it :). It just seems like all of sudden, boom there is all this new stuff he can do :). 7 months of baby is way faster than 7 months of pregnancy. I can't wait for him to sit on his own though but I'm not ready for a mobile baby at all.

  • Get ready for mobility!! For O, she put herself into a seated position, started rocking on all 4's (for about 2 weeks) and then she started crawling and pulling up in the same week. It's so much fun but let me tell you, the crawling makes it a WHOLE different ball game. Really have to pay attention to everything on the floor which is a constant job. Lol.  Now she is holding on with 1 hand and twice now has let go of the couch and stood up for a bout 10 sec by herself. She was pulling up for about 2 weeks before this started. I feel like once it starts, they are on a fast track to walking! I'm with you...it's a little sad to think about how big they are getting but this age is a blast! Yay for all of your LO's milestones! So exciting!

  • We have had an explosion of abilities too! Last week he began crawling, pulling himself up, and put himself into a seated position. He will babble mama and dada but I don't think he knows what that means yet. Yay for growing babies!!! :D

  • We've seen an explosion of skills too, but a bit "out of order" L crawled and pulled herself up before she could really sit herself up. She's only been crawling for 2 weeks and she's already trying to pull up on everything around the house and getting up to her knees a LOT. For us there was just under a month between rocking on all fours and true crawling with lots of inchworm and armycrawling between.
