Hair Cut Questions

DS's first haircut appointment is today at 5:30. AGH! He is getting so big.

So silly question, how does everyone 'style' their sons' hair? My husband is bald so he has no recommendations. We kinda just let it do its own thing which drives me nuts.

Actually yesterday DS decided to brush his own hair.

Are you having a stylist cut his hair? My LO also needs a hair cut, it's almost in his eyes. But I don't know how to go about it myself, or if I just take him in to a salon. How do they cut baby's hair? They are so squirmy!

Ds' hair naturally parts to the side, so I swoop his bangs with the part. When he had his haircut, they put a little hairspray in it.

My ds needs a haircut too but I keep putting it off thinking he's too little for a haircut!!! Let us know how it goes.

I cut DS's hair myself until he was almost 2. He had straight hair that mainly needed to be trimmed out of his eyes and in the back. I would stand him at the bath tub, give him a toy and hope I could get a few snips in before he realized what I was doing.

When he was 22 mos, I finally took him to a place because my best efforts were looking more like a bowl cut the more hair he got. They did a "typical little boy haircut" as the girl called it. It was cute but now we just buzz it because I can't afford to be paying for a toddler haircut every 6 weeks. It was a shock at first, but now I love the buzz.
